Starting yesterday 7/7 and running through August 22nd - “Southern Exposure”, Muddy Creek Artists Guild comes to Quiet Waters Park with an artist Meet and Greet on Sunday 7/11

Sat 7/10 - The College Park Aviation Museum is hosting more Plein Air Painting at the College Park Airport led by a professional artist. All materials provided.

Today 7/8  through Sun 7/11 - 48th Annual Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Engine Show -  A very cool living exhibit of vintage steam, gas and diesel powered machinery. Tractors, factory machinery, model trains, a REAL train on a real train track, a huge flea market with tools and all kinds of interesting things.  Take a small day trip out to Easton to check out literal tons of interesting vintage machinery.

Project STEAM MD’s Summer Camp 2021 in Owings Mills. Next week is week 2, covering Rockets, Planes and Things, Week 3 is Robotics, Week 4 is Board and Video Game Development, Week 5 is Augmented and Virtual Reality and Week 6 is Painting and Photography

Knits and Pieces, behind the Wawa on Bestgate Rd has a couple knitting classes..

Tomorrow 7/9 - Olive Knits Knit-Along - With the OliveKnits Fireworks sweater, running all through July.

Sat 7/10 - Technique Classes series called “A Series Of Hats” continues with the last Short Rows and Mosaic Knitting class.

Also, if you  need some help, check out their Knit Coaching sessions Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at various times of day to best fit your schedule

Sat 7/10 - Wildberry Field Market with local vendors, makers and small business owners selling fun items that could make great gifts. The Wildberry Field Market will run twice a month, the second and fourth Saturday of the month thru November.

Has summer camps!  Starting Monday is week 4 with “Blast From The Past” as the theme with a few more weeks of summer camp after that.  Crafts include making candles, soaps, bath bombs, lotions and each week has an exclusive craft including pinecone fire starters, tie dye, custom hand sanitizer, and water candles.

Sat 7/10 - Nature Art Series: Nature’s Art Box - Learn how to make your own art supplies and tools from natural materials including ink, pigments, charcoal, and twig pens.

And also a Nature’s Art Box for Kids a little bit later.

Sun 7/11 - Herbal Medicine Workshop - Benjamin Banneker’s mother was an herbalist using herbs from garden and meadow as natural tonics. This workshop will teach you what and how to harvest them and make an infused oil, salve and infusion to take home using ingredients harvested at Banneker park.

And all next week, they have a Summer Camp called Trailblazers.  Both a morning session and an afternoon session. Young campers will discover colonial life, astronomy and nature through games, crafts and outdoor exploration.
