County fairs - Queen Anne’s County (starting Monday all next week) in Centreville just over the bridge.. Howard County fair just up past Columbia in West Friendship starts Saturday and also runs all next week.

Starting Saturday 8/4 and running through Nov 24th, there will be hard hat tours of the James Brice House in downtown Annapolis. This 18th century dwelling is undergoing restoration and there will be tours teaching about the people who built the house and the craftspeople restorying it today.

8/4/2018 - Annmarie Garden, Solomons, (first Saturday) Makers Market - The Maker's Market is THE place to find handmade, homemade, or homegrown products!

Saturday 8/4 - Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum - Foraging at Banneker’s Homestead - Walk with a Benjamin Banneker Foundation member to see what edibles are around the park. Preregistration is required by phone or email.

Saturday 8/4 - Berlin - Pine’eer Arts & Crafts Festival - Sponsored by the Ocean Pines Pine’eer Craft Club, it features artisans from VA, MD, DE and PA selling hand made items. There will be a bake sale, food vendors and farmers market as well.

SLIME - Both today, at 1:30pm at Brooklyn Park and Monday at 2pm at Broadneck are Slime workshops! Kids will create everyone’s favorite non-newtonian fluid.

Tomorrow 8/3 1pm - Mountain Road - How to Program a Robot - This two session program is in conjunction with the Pasadena Robotics Team. Robots and laptops are provided. Limit of 20 participants, children going into 3rd and 4th grades in September. Register for both sessions by calling the Mountain Road library.

Monday 8/6 - 10:30am - Crofton - Facebook and Social Networking for Adults - Learn the basics of Facebook and other social media programs. Learn how to set up an account, spot fake information and update your profile and privacy settings.

Monday 8/6 - 6pm - Linthicum - Sound Lab - Hands-on activities teach you about the science of sound, basis for telegraphy, radio and television.

Wednesday 8/8 - Odenton - Archaeology - Dig it! - Get dirty at the library and explore the world beneath our feet! Call for registration.

All Next week - Engineering Summer Camp - This is a special camp to construct a Rube Goldberg Machine. Each camper will have their own section to design and build with help from the entire team. Sections may be entirely mechanical or may contain electronic, robotic and computer controlled devices.

As well as tomorrow night is family game night, Wednesday Teen Makers and Fiber Fans.

Mondays are official Woodworking night - If you want to get into woodworking or want to pick someone’s brain on a project you’re working on, drop by on Mondays to meet other local woodworkers.
