Today 7/25 - RASA Juice Shop on Maryland Ave - Macrame Craftivity Night - Celebrate RASA’s 1 year anniversary with different workshops including one today learning how to make macrame accessories

Sat 7/27 - Ridgely Retreat in West Annapolis - Soak Making Intensive - Learn how to make a range of exquisite self-care products, discover the history and chemistry of soapmaking and the safety practices required to manufacture soap

Sat 7/27 - Truxtun Park - Fish Seining and Count - Using a seine net to gather fish, you’ll identify and count the fish of Spa Creek before releasing them back to the creek. A fish biologist will be on hand to help identify fish.

Sat 7/27 - Night - Beverly Triton Nature Park - Stars and S’Mores - Learn about the wonders of the night sky as a ranger guides you through the planets, constellations and satellites while you enjoy a campfire and some gooey s’mores

Sun 7/28 - Columbia Art Center in Columbia - Ukrainian Egg Decorating - Ukrainian eggs are incredible works of art and here is your opportunity to learn how to create them! Learn the basics of wax-resist egg decorating using Ukranian egg dyes. Explore different styles, tools and methods as well as the symbolism in pysanka. (PIH-sahn-kah)

Sun 7/28 - Annmarie Sculpture Garden in Solomons - It’s time for their annual Insectival! Insect Festival - Celebrating and exploring insects through games, art, activities, bug hunts and more. Check out a wide variety of insects including ants, grasshoppers and more.. Including help from friends of Annmarie Gardens: the Association of Maryland Beekeepers, Maryland Entomological society, Natural History Society of Maryland, Wild Birds Unlimited, Honey Bee Rescue of Southern Maryland and more! As always, I know Solomons is a bit of a hike from the Annapolis area, but Annmarie Gardens is worth it, especially when they have special events like this.

Wed 7/31 - Hammond Harwood House in Annapolis - Explore Botanical Art in the Museum with Titian Peale - Titian Peale became a noted naturalist and botanical artist. In this hands-on program, participants will learn what herbs were cultivated and how they were used for cooking and medicine. The program also features a take home craft of a botanical drawing.
