Sat 2/15 - College Park Aviation Museum - Join them for another Engineering 101 workshop where you’ll learn about navigation and geography and create your own paper plane gliders to test out on a course, celebrating Black History month by honoring Barrington Irving who was the youngest person to fly solo around the world in 2004 and the first black pilot to do so. He has since developed his own non-profit to help kids learn about aviation and careers in aviation.

Tonight - 2/13 - Galentine’s Day Paint Night - at Renditions Golf Course - Enjoy drinks and painting with your gal pals for a fun Galentine’s Day out!

Mon - 2/17 - Holiday Studio: 3D - School’s out on Monday so enjoy an afternoon making art at Art Things! - This special studio opportunity will have sculpting stations set up where you can choose between paper mache, paper clay or shrinky dinks (or all three!).

Sat 2/15 - Edgewater - African American Oystermen on the Chesapeake - Relive the days of the life of an Afraican American Oysterman. Learn about their lives on the water and in the shucking sheds, the tools they used, fishing traditions and cultural history. Tie on an apron and step back in time with this hands on program.

Mon 2/17 - Deale - Wigglerbots STEM - Make a creature that moves using a battery and a motor that vibrates. This program helps children explore STEM using accessible design.

Tues 2/18 - Annapolis - Construction Time: Build a Library - Celebrate Annapolis Library’s final week at the Monarch Academy location by building your version of the new Annapolis library using blocks, Legos and found materials. Learn about basic architecture skills and listen to a story, for ages 3-5

Wed 2/19 - Brooklyn Park - Explore the Science of Sound for elementary school kids ages 6-10 - Explore sound including vibrations, patterns, pitch, tempo, echoes and more. Make and take home your own musical instrument!

Wed 2/19 - Discoveries: Library at the Mall - Building with the 3 Little Pigs, for ages 6-10. Hear the story of the Three Little Pigs and build your own structure to see if it can hold up against the Big Bad Wolf

Wed 2/19 - Deale - Candy Hearts Science - Practice offline coding with candy hearts, then experiment to see which liquid causes the candy hearts to dissolve the fastest

Sat 2/15 - Basic Lost-Wax Casting - Learn the basics of lost wax casting, including spruing and investing wax patterns, casting and finishing. You’ll start with a wax pattern and end with one or tow finished pieces of Argentium Sterling silver jewelry.

Tomorrow 2/14 - Valentines Day - We have both our laser training and refresher class, for anyone interested in laser training… as well as a Valentines Cold Process Soap Class with Blended Essentials where you can learn about making actual soap, not just blending some things with glycerine, using cold process soap making techniques.
