Intro to 3D PRINTING

Join us for a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop to learn how to use a 3D Printer!  

3D printed objects are used extensively by consumer hobbyists and industry to make parts, toys, cosplay props, miniatures such as doll house furniture and more! 

Participants will gain insights on what types of projects a 3D Printer can be used for, and then observe and learn the process of how to create a 3D printed object starting with a ready-made solid model design all the way to the final printed product. 

This process will be demonstrated during the class and participants will get hands-on practice handling the machine ~ loading the filament, preparing the printer for the job and learning what to do after the job has completed.  

We will provide a general overview of various types of 3D printers used by consumers and industry share tips, tricks and troubleshooting scenarios for home and makerspace users.  We'll also share links where you can get free design models (or for purchase), and provide an overview of various software packages and licensing options in case you want to start creating your own design models. 

Minimum age = 18
