Registration is open for Project STEAM MD’s Summer Camp 2021 in Owings Mils.  It’s great to see them back, after things got shut down last year.  This camp covers so many fun things.  Week 1 is character design, Week 2 is Rockets, Planes and Things, Week 3 is Robotics, Week 4 is Board and Video Game Development, Week 5 is Augmented and Virtual Reality and Week 6 is Painting and Photography

Also check out Art Farm’s Student Union Open Studio - for small groups of kids to use ArtFarm Studios space to create their own work and socialize with other young artists.

Maryland Hall

Starting today 5/6 and running through Friday 5/14, then again between Monday 5/17 and Friday 5/21, you can watch renowned environmental artist, Patrick Dogherty, create a Stickwork sculpture installation at Maryland Hall.  Doughtery’s done over 300 monumental interactive sculptures in his 35 years of work and they’re quite impressive to see.

Mon 5/10 - Second Monday STEM - This time exploring wind power, wild water and “watch it grow”, exploring science outside with stories, demonstrations and discoveries.

Wed 5/12 - Chalk Party at Edgewater Library - Making fun sidewalk chalk art

Wed 5/12 - Nature Explorers Club - Get an up-close look at a small piece of our planet by joining the Nature Explorers Club.  Each month they investigate an aspect of the ecosystem through presentations, conversations, active games and hands-on activities.
