Maker Minutes 7/5/2018

Thursday, July 05, 2018 7:28 AM | Trevor Gryffyn (Administrator)

All next week, 7/9th-13th at ArtFarm AnnapolisFearless Girls Photo Camp for ages 10-13, taught by professional photography instructors.

Also all next week, 7/9th-13th, Clay Bakers is doing a “Mystical and Woodland Creatures” summer camp for children using various media such as pottery painting, glass fusing, clay sculpting and tye dye.

Starting 7/9 and running through Aug 17th, Paint It! Ellicott City - Juried plein air outdoor painting exhibition in Ellicott City

Starting today 7/5 and running all weekend - Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Association Steam Show - If you’ve ever noticed a bunch of tractors and steam engine looking things tucked away in the trees on the right hand side, just past Easton.. while you were headed down to the ocean.. that’s what you saw. It’s been running for 45 years now and seems to still be going strong!

While we’re talking about the eastern shore… a shout out to Kevin and all the great people at M4 Reactor in Salisbury. Makerspaces are pretty community-centric, so that’s a bit of a hike for most people, but M4 is doing some really great things down there, so if you know anyone near Salisbury looking for a workshop, they certainly have everything from electronics to woodworking, even a pretty powerful laser cutter.
