YayMaker is hosting some online virtual family paint and sip parties! - You have to come up with your own supplies, but I heard that Art Things is doing a great job providing art supplies to Annapolis:

Next Tuesday/Wednesday, the Lyrids meteor shower should be hitting peak. If the weather is nice and the skies are clear, it might be a nice night to get out and take a look at the skies. Thanks to the Howard Astronomical League for the reminder.

Third Eye is still selling “Battle Bonds”... just like war bonds of old, these help Third Eye through these tough times. In addition to a gift card for your battle bond, there are also perks that increase the longer you keep the bond without cashing in.

If you’re looking for local streaming music, check out the Annapolis Streaming Facebook group… with more streaming concerts from The Sqrrl! Show, Live Arts Maryland’s QuaranTiny Concerts, virtual open mic nights and more

Also... in addition to Annapolis Streaming as a great resource to find streaming concerts, I just heard on Eye On Annapolis Daily News Brief that Annapolis Town Center Symmetry Agency and Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians (AMFM) are doing an online streaming concert series with TONS of local favorites starting with Jimi Davies last night, MIchael K of Pretty Big Deal tonight and Doug Segree tomorrow night, to name a few. In addition to great live streaming music, they'll be matching dollar for dollar every donation made by the end of April, up to $5,000 to help out Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians (AMFM) and all the great local musicians put out by the cancellation of gigs and such.

Annapolis Makerspace

At Annapolis Makerspace, we’ve been closed but we’re doing what we can to help. Working with Open Works and their Makers Unite initiative, more than a hundred makers around the area have been working on 3D printing face shield assemblies for local emergency and health care providers as well as homeless shelters and others who need to protect their workers from infection. There seems to be no end to the demand, currently, so we’ll keep 3D printing as quickly as possible.

Annapolis Makerspace is also looking into helping laser cut acrylic boxes to help protect those health care workers doing intubation of covid-19 patients. And any other projects that come up that we can help with.

If you know of a local healthcare provider who is in need of protective equipment, let us know and we’ll try to get you in touch with someone who can help.

We’re working on moving some of our regular workshops online...

Tues - Monthly CAD/CAM Fusion 360 Workshop held online - We’ll post the link to the online stream the night of the event.
